Corporate Responsibility Award 2021 ‘Business for SDGs’ - Winners Revealed
On October 28, Global Compact Network Georgia held Corporate Responsibility Award Ceremony 'Business for SDGs'.
The award is based on international standards and nominations are in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Winners were announced in the following nominations:
SDG 4 – Quality Education - BANK OF GEORGIA
SDG 5 – Gender Equality - ADJARA GROUP HOLDING
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth - BANK OF GEORGIA
SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities - APM TERMINALS POTI
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production – LTD LEADER
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals - EFES GEORGIA and NGO OUR HOME GEORGIA

This year media representatives were awarded in the nomination Media for Responsible Business in Georgia (Best TV report – Nino Vartapetiani, TV Borjomi https://www.facebook.com/ninotvb and Best digital article Dedika Kalatozi, Radio “Fortuna” Holding https://www.facebook.com/dedika.kalatozi).
The ceremony was opened by the welcome speech of the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, H.E. Mr. Carl Hartzell. Also Head of Development Cooperation and Deputy Head of the Embassy of Sweden in Georgia Mr. Erik Illes addressed the audience. Winners were awarded by the British Ambassador to Georgia, H.E. Mr. Mark Clayton; Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, H.E. Mr. Akira Imamura; Regional Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office for the South Caucasus, Dr. Danielle Meuwly; Private Sector Engagement Coordinator of USAID Georgia, Ms. Beverly Hoover; Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Ms. Nino Tandilashvili; Co-founder and Executive Director of Egeria Solutions, Ms. Tamar Chugoshvili and Communications Manager of British Embassy Tbilisi, Ms. Lika Shavishvili.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of business sector, diplomatic corps, international organizations, government and media.

Corporate Responsibility Award is intended for companies that operate in the Georgian market. This is an award for a business that is progressive, modern value-based; operating based on high standards, that work towards sustainable development, and bring long-term benefits to both: the company and the society.
