City Hall Plans to Arrange Multi-Level Parking Lot Near Tbilisi Concert Hall

City Hall plans to arrange a multi-level underground parking lot near the Philharmonic Hall. A tender has already been announced for the preparation of project-expenditure documentation for the arrangement of a multi-level underground parking lot in Mtatsminda district, near the Tbilisi Concert Hall.

According to the tender conditions, acceptance of bids will start on December 10 and end on December 13. The estimated cost of the purchase is 63,720 GEL.

"The purpose of providing the service is to carry out a comprehensive field research work in the project area and, based on the results of the research, to compile the project-expenditure documentation required for the arrangement of a multi-level underground car park.

The construction of a new multi-level underground car park should ensure the unloading of flows on existing roads and continuous movement in case of further increase in traffic intensity. Accordingly, the emergence of an underground parking space in the project area will help to regulate the traffic situation in the surrounding area.

An important factor is the fact that the project corridor should not cross private property in any case. Geological conditions should be taken into account as much as possible. The connection of the existing underground passage in front of the Philharmonic Hall with the new parking space should be taken into account during the preparation of project documentation. The traffic scheme in the underground parking lot should be calculated in such a way that the oncoming car can freely enter the parking space and get out of the garage in such a way that the traffic is not hindered, ”the tender document states.
