Mariam Kapanadze, founder of the handmade chocolate company "Chocotella," recently announced a significant increase in sales, reaching a new record. In an interview with "Business Partner," Kapanadze attributed this surge to the rising popularity of the company's Dubai chocolate bars.
"I have developed a product similar to the trendy Dubai tiles specifically for the Georgian market, and the demand has been exceptionally high. Currently, it is our best-selling item. While both Georgians and foreigners enjoy our chocolates, it's primarily the Georgians who are most drawn to this particular product," Kapanadze explained.
At present, "Chocotella" chocolates are exclusively available through the company’s own retail network, and there are no immediate plans to expand to other networks. "At this stage, we do not intend to enter additional retail networks soon as we lack the resources for mass production," Kapanadze added.
Looking ahead, Kapanadze revealed plans for "Chocotella" to expand its physical presence. "We are excited to open a second branch by the end of August, located in a tourist-frequented area of Tbilisi," she said.
"Chocotella" prides itself on using high-quality Belgian chocolate to craft its homemade offerings. The company operates a brand store and a factory situated on Barnovi Street in the Vake district of Tbilisi.
