Caspi Group Plans to Export Part of Its Production to Georgia

Georgia remains an attractive market for the Turkish company Caspi Group.

Investors plan to transport part of its production to Georgia.

"For us, Georgia remains an attractive market in the post-pandemic period, moreover, we think of bringing part of our brand accessories production to Georgia.", noted Caspi Group's director.

Caspi Group has been operating in Georgia since 2008. Initially, their business was to produce branded accessories for companies, but 7 years ago, they started working on bringing special kitchen appliances to hotels and restaurants in Georgia.

Speaking about the effect of coronavirus on business, Garatel Alakhverdova said that their business in Georgia and in other representatives has temporarily stopped and this caused great losses.

"The virus is a huge problem for every investor. Nevertheless, we continued to work remotely, we implement exporting the product, such as restaurant kitchen appliances and branded accessories for the companies. These products are not required at this time, so our company branched in Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan temporarily stopped working and suffered a great loss. The first hit came to the hospitality sector, which we were tied to, so we got the trauma.

However, we have not stopped the process of producing the accessories and in case of ordering requests, we are ready to respond to them. We've planned this week to check the safety standards of our company and we will gradually start to work actively.", said Garatel Alakhaverdova.

He also noted, that despite the difficulties, they managed to keep their employees.

"Approximately 15 people are working in our company's branch in Georgia and despite the fact, that we did not make any profit during this period, we kept our employees and did not leave them without salaries. This is the matter of our company's image and social responsibility.", stated Garatel Alakhaverdova.
