Businesses Rally to Support Shovi Landslide Victims

Following the tragic landslide in Shovi, several businesses are rallying together to extend help to those affected. From offering free accommodations to financial aid, these entities demonstrate collective compassion in the wake of adversity.

Some hotels in Racha have opened their doors to provide shelter. Hotel "Utsera" stated, "We're prepared to house as many of Shovi's disaster victims as we can, free of charge." Other accommodations like Family Inn Shovi, Family hotel "Kedi", Family hotel "Lacarido", Cottage "Anastasia", and Hotel AMBROsador, echo this sentiment, offering rooms and support at no cost to those displaced by the calamity.

Racha Oni's "Passengers" bus station has pledged to facilitate free transport for those needing to evacuate from the disaster area and those willing to assist from Tbilisi. Similarly, Hotel "Samta" in Tskaltubo has expressed its readiness to offer a safe haven for those seeking shelter.

Monetary assistance is also flowing in. "Wissol Group" has committed 50,000 GEL for affected families and will fuel "Red Cross" volunteer vehicles. The Georgian Business Association matches this with its own 50,000 GEL pledge. Meanwhile, Bank of Georgia is contributing a substantial 250,000 GEL, "Cellfie" is donating 50,000 GEL, TBC has established a charitable fund with an initial 500,000 GEL contribution, and Nodar Giorgadze, founder of Gino Holding, has given 30,000 GEL to the Red Cross Society of Georgia.

Assistance isn't limited to monetary contributions. Companies like "Nova" offer technical inventory for search and rescue operations. "Med 11" is offering its Reanomobile service, while the House of Psychotherapy "Kamara" is providing free psychotherapy for trauma victims. PSP is donating first aid medicines, baby food, and diapers, while SPAR Georgia is supplying primary consumption products to search teams. The "Phoenix" hikers' club has expressed its readiness to provide both physical help and overnight equipment.

IDS Borjomi, Georgia, is ensuring that clean drinking water reaches the disaster zone daily. Bessarion Boutique Hotel and Restaurant in Kutaisi has also offered its services to affected families.
