BTU to Launch Large-Scale Project in Kazakhstan

Mikheil Batiashvili, chairman of the supervisory board of Business and Technology University (BTU) has met with representatives of the Government of Kazakhstan and Astana International University.

At the meeting, the Parties agreed on the partnership between BTU and Kazakhstan’s biggest international university. The two universities will work on joint programs and projects in Kazakhstan and regions, in the fields of innovations, technologies, tourism, and other directions, with the support of BTU’s major international partners. Technology companies, top-rated research centers and institutions, and BTU’s other partners will jointly implement educational, research, expertise, and consulting projects, certification and training, and other activities. The meeting was attended by Kazakhstan’s Vice Prime Minister, Education Minister of Kazakhstan, and other government officials. As part of this agreement, the partners will initiate regional and global cooperation, transfer innovations, commercialize science, attract investments, and so on.

Founded in 2018, Astana International University unites 7 research institutes, 5 research centers, and laboratories. The most special program “Science, Business, Production” aims to attract young scientists and researchers. As part of cooperation with BTU, Kazakhstan plans to support an innovative ecosystem, implement global projects and improve the scientific environment.
