Bokhua Clinic: We Maintain Prices thanks to Stocks

The volatile exchange rate of the Georgian national currency may generate many problems before medical facilities, including prices on medical services may increase and part of the clinics has already spoken out about this challenge.

As noted by Kote Kipiani, director of the N. Bokhua Angiology and Vascular Surgery Center told Business Partner, at this stage, old prices run at the Clinic, however, if the national currency keeps depreciating, medical services will become expensive in several months.

Our clinic imports the required materials from abroad and the higher expenditures will also affect the service tariffs, Kipiani noted. “This is a real problem and this process will bring negative effects in several months. At this stage, we maintain prices thanks to our old stocks”, Kipiani noted.

Higher prices will have direct relation to the GEL exchange rate depreciation, he added. „The quality of services will worsen without raising prices. Our clinic provides high-quality services. In general, it is inadmissible to worsen the quality in cardiovascular surgery. Regretfully, patients will have to go there, where service prices are lower and the quality of services are also lower. And this process will bring very negative outcomes”, Kipiani noted.
