Binance and GITA Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
The world's largest crypto exchange, Binance, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), - we read about it in the press release distributed by the company. According to reports, the parties will cooperate in the field of large-scale educational and public blockchain-initiatives and the joint development of the crypto industry in Georgia.
According to reports, the collaboration between Binance and GITA includes both educational and charitable initiatives, in which Binance Charity and Binance Academy will be involved, as well as the organization of local events and hackathons, which BNB Chain will provide.
According to the information of the world's largest crypto exchange, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, and the CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, agreed on this initiative in November of last year, when the entrepreneur visited Georgia on a business visit.
The regional director of Binance, Vladimir Smerkis, responded to the cooperation with the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, who noted that Georgia is one of the most innovative countries in the region with the development of the crypto industry. "Our goals coincide with the goals of the Agency for Innovations and Technologies of Georgia - we can create an effective system in Georgia that will further develop innovations and technologies," Vladimir Smerkis notes.
The chairman of GITA also emphasized the necessity of educational and charitable projects: "It is important that within the framework of this cooperation, Binance will implement educational and charitable programs in Georgia and will conduct "workshops" and hackathons related to blockchain technology in the technopark, which will help the formation of new startups and commercialization-oriented projects. It will contribute to the implementation", Avtandil Kasradze said in his statement.
For information: this is not the first initiative that Binance is implementing in Georgia. Last month, the world's largest crypto exchange announced a partnership with the University of Business and Technology (BTU). And last year, Binance also signed a memorandum of understanding with TBC.
