Agro Complex to Open a New Factory for Food Preservation in Sartitchala
In Kvemo Kartli, in the village of Sartitchala, a new fruit preserving factory of the company "Agro Complex" is opened.
The cold storage is equipped with modern ULO (Ultra Low Oxyge) technology.
Agro Complex is the beneficiary of the "Co-financing Project of Processing and Preservation Industrial Units". More than 2 million Lari was invested in the enterprise, including 600,000 Lari - grant and 5 million GEL preferential agro-credit.
Within the frameworks of the USAID agriculture program, a 1,440 square-meter building was built and the humidity ventilation system was installed with the co-investment of the Agro Complex.
Agro Complex purchased ULO technology with the grant of USAID agriculture program and equipped 10 cold storage cameras. The modern ULO technology ensures that the fruit keeps its appearance and values even after a year.
15 people are employed in the factory. The company plans to sell its products in the local market.
