Agriculture Minister Supposes to Transport Georgian Wines via Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railroad
As the active minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili mentions, it is considered to export Georgian wine through the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railroad.
Levan Davitashvili noted with BusinessPartner, that they always discussed the matters of alternative routes in the field of the winery. Apart from traditional logistical channels, which mainly envisage maritime transportation, the railroad can be succesfull.
"Especially recent events confirmed this. What has always been planned for Georgia to have an important transit function, to connect with the East and European countries, and to have liberal trading politics, will be achieved slowly.
It is important to have a stable flow of cargo, both from Georgia and neighboring countries. In this case, Georgian wine will be transported through railroad.", declared Levan Davitashvili.
