Adjara Group Introduces Renewable Energy in Agro and Hospitality Projects

Adjara Group plans to develop renewable energy in hospitality and agro-projects. To this end, the company has signed a memorandum with USAID's Energy Future Support Program.

Based on the memorandum, the parties will jointly contribute to the advancement of the country's energy sector.

"Adjara Group, based on the principles of circular economy, is working on the development of renewable energy for agriculture and hospitality projects. The initiative will significantly enhance the energy efficiency of Adjara Group projects and will have a positive impact on the environment. We are pleased to begin a new partnership with USAID's Energy Security Program, which will strengthen the company's ability to generate solar and biomass energy with international experts. The cooperation will further contribute to the implementation of the Adjara Group's sustainable development initiatives, ”said Otar Berishvili, Executive Director of the Adjara Group Development Team.

At the signing ceremony, the parties noted that such an approach to the issue would encourage creative associations and unions, which would help increase investment in the private sector, so that Georgia could improve its energy infrastructure and build new generation facilities.

"We are working with the emerging Georgian private sector to promote sustainable development in a variety of sectors that also includes energy security," said Peter Wiebler, USAID / Georgia Mission Director.
