Natia Loladze Becomes Vice President of The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
President of the Georgia Red Cross Society Natia Loladze has been elected Vice-President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
"During my vice-presidency, I will do everything in my power to support the development and strengthening of the Red Cross national societies since a strong national community is what allows us to respond in a timely and effective manner to the needs of the people, at the local level.", declared Natia Loladze, President of the Georgia Red Cross Society.
Natia Loladze's candidacy for the post of Vice President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies was supported by 192 countries.
"The enormous work done over the years by the country, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent to help and strengthen national societies, has led to the support of representatives from 192 countries. I want to thank each and every country that has supported us and expressed great confidence in us.", further noted Natia Loladze.
In 2017, the Georgia Red Cross Society became a member of the governing board of IFRC for the first time in its 100-year history.
In 2022, the Georgia Red Cross Society was elected as a donor organization for the first time in its existence, which is compounded by the fact that Georgia hosted the 11th European Regional Conference for the Leaders of the 53 Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies of the Europe and Central Asia regions.
Natia Loladze started working as a volunteer in the Georgia Red Cross Society in 2002. After the August war of 2008, she decided to continue her career in the field of humanitarian work, and since then she has been actively engaged in the work together with the members of the Georgia Red Cross Society on a daily basis to help people in need. Throughout the years, she has been able to establish a strong connection with the Red Cross Societies of different countries, which had a positive impact on Georgia and Georgian people in need of assistance.
Under Natia Loladze's leadership, the Georgia Red Cross Society has gained numerous recognitions, and today she was elected the Vice-President of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent supported by 192 countries.
