For the First Time in the Women In Tech Global Movement International Competition, 3 women from Azerbaijan Made it to the Finals

On 22 September, the Caucasus and Central Asia Awards competition was held in Tbilisi. Women In Tech ®️ Global Movement, one of the leading organizations in the field of technology, has been operating since 2018. It has offices on 6 continents and more than 200,000 participants. Since 2022, the representative office of the Women in Tech organization has been operating in Azerbaijan.

Within the scope of the Global Women in Tech Movement, for the first time this year, the representative offices of Azerbaijan and Georgia launched the Caucasus and Central Asia Awards (Caucasus and Central Asia) competition. More than 80 girls and women from 6 countries applied to the competition. CCA Awards were organized with 9 nominations. Azerbaijan was represented by many strong young girls and women. 43 finalists participated in 9 nominations and for each nomination a winner was selected by the jury.

In order to make the competition completely transparent, the jury was specially invited to the first CCA Awards competition. Thus, a worldwide jury of leading experts in technology and STEAM was gathered.

These are Zarina Zeynalova, President of "Azercell Telecom" LLC, Inara Valiyeva, Deputy Head of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Farrukh Ali, Head of the Innovation Programme of "PASHA Holding", Tal Kantan Forbes, leader, Google, Tedex spokesperson and chief consultant, Mariam Lashkhi, Member of the Georgian Parliament, Nana Dikhaminjia, Head of the Digital Transformation Centre, Mel McCann Cardano, Vice President for Donations and Head of Erekle Maghradze Technology School.

9 winners out of 9 nominees were selected by the jury.
