Vintage in Kakheti Continues Smoothly

As of September 23, 10:00 am, 123 thousand tons of grapes have been processed in Kakheti region: 80 thousand tons of Rkatsiteli, 36 thousand tons of Saperavi, 3 thousand tons of Kakhetian Green and the rest are various grapes.

About 14,000 winegrowers have already delivered grapes to various wineries.

The daily processing of grapes remains within the range of 10-12 thousand tons, which indicates the peak stage of the vintage process.

288 wine producing companies are registered at the vintage coordination HQ, 172 of which have already been involved in the vintage.

This year about 200-250 thousand tons of grapes are expected to be harvested in Kakheti region.
