Sales of Georgian Wine Peak out with 96 Million Bottles
Export of Georgian wine is currently at its peak.
In January-November 2021, 96.15 million bottles of wine were exported, which, according to the National Wine Agency, is a historically high figure during the period of independent Georgia.
Georgian wine exports have climbed by 14% annually, the income received from exported wines reaches 222 million dollars and increases by 4% every year.
Russia is the lead country in the export markets of Georgian wine, where more than 55,867 million bottles of Georgian wine are sold, annual sales in Russia have increased by 6%.
Georgian wine export is also grown in Polland - 29% (5 908 393), China - 26% (5 469 450), The USA - 12% (971 714), Germany - 13% (751 810), Latvia - 10% (1 634 827), Lithuania - 44% (960 928), Japan - 12% (189 844) and the Great Britain - 76% (702640).
