Preparation for Vintage in Georgia has Begun
An abundant harvest is expected on the vintage this year. The government has already started working on the project.
The Prime Minister held a working meeting with the representatives of the relevant agencies on the measures to support the winemaking sector, where the situation in the winemaking industry and the damage caused by the pandemic was discussed, which the industry received in the conditions of reduced tourism.
It was noted that the extension of the preferential agro-credit program, which already includes the wine industry, will help wine companies to overcome the problems caused by the pandemic.
The Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, together with all relevant agencies, continues to work intensively to avoid problems in accommodating the grape harvest and to make the vintage season as much as possible prepared for both the public and private sectors.
