International Organizations to Involve in the Process of Testing Georgian Export Wines
Independent international organizations will be involved in the process of testing Georgian export wine.
According to the National Wine Agency, we are talking about auditors such as the French Bureau Veritas or the Swiss SGS.
"We plan to bring an auditor, a third objective person in the process of inspecting wine companies and delegate certain powers to them. As a result, the process of quality control of export products will become even more objective and transparent," said Levan Mekhuzla, head of the National Wine Agency, in the program "Business Partner".
He said the state plans to step up inspections of wine producers and if 7 companies were inspected in the first quarter and 10 companies were controlled, the number of companies inspected in the second and subsequent quarters will double and triple.
The quality of Georgian wine is crucial to establishing itself in the global wine market," Mekhuzla said.
