Hong Kong Hosts Georgian Wine Festival

For the purpose of diversification of Georgian wine exports markets, Georgian Wine festival was held in Hong Kong. Master of Wine Deborah Meiburg, head of Meiburg Wine Media, contractor of National Wine Agency, has led the festival.

Fifteen Georgian winemaking companies introduced their products at the Festival. Wine importers, representatives of networks of restaurants, hotels and media companies attended the event.

The presentation highlighted Georgia’s 8000-year winemaking history, grape varieties and modern industry of Georgian winemaking.

It is worth noting that despite heavy political situation in Hong Kong, numerous guests attended the event and it lasted longer than planned.

The event was held as part of Asian Tour of Georgia Wine. The program calls for introducing Georgia wine into cities of China and other Asian countries. The festival was held in Seoul, South Korea, Shanghai, China, Fujian and Sichuan provinces.
