Georgian Wine Tasting Held at Rockefeller Center

With the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the Agency's contractor Vinoveli Inc., a Georgian wine presentation, tasting, and business forum was held at Rockefeller Center in New York City, United States.

The event brought together wine bloggers, importers, representatives of the media, the HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, and café) sector, and the broader commercial industry. Guests had the opportunity to taste nearly 40 wines produced by Georgian wineries, showcasing a wide range of styles and grape varieties.

Events of this kind are designed to promote Georgian wine, increase consumer interest, and further strengthen its recognition and competitiveness in the U.S. market.

During the event, visitors sampled premium-quality Georgian wines and learned about Georgia's 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition, the country's rich diversity of indigenous grape varieties, and the traditional qvevri winemaking method.

The United States remains one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine, characterized by high quality standards and intense competition. In recent years, numerous marketing initiatives supported by the National Wine Agency have played a significant role in increasing both the awareness of Georgian wine and its exports to the U.S. market.

The U.S. is also one of the highest-value export markets for Georgian wine. The current average export price of Georgian wine to the United States is approximately USD 3.11 per liter.
