Georgian Wine Showcased at Major Promotional Event in South Korea
As part of efforts to diversify export markets for Georgian wine, the National Wine Agency, in cooperation with its South Korean marketing contractor Wine21.com, organized a large-scale promotional event for Georgian wine in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea.
The event featured a professional wine tasting and a masterclass titled "The Birthplace of Wine." Attendees included wine industry experts, sommeliers, buyers, media representatives, and influencers.
The masterclass was led by renowned Korean wine writer Sangmi Kim, who presented the history, culture, and contemporary development of Georgia's wine industry, introducing guests to the country's unique winemaking heritage.
The event was held as part of the "Georgian Wine Month" campaign, which included a series of Georgian wine tasting events across Seoul.
In Asia, the Republic of Korea, alongside China and Japan, remains one of the National Wine Agency's strategic export markets for Georgian wine. With the Agency's support, a variety of marketing initiatives are regularly implemented to strengthen the position of Georgian wine in the Korean market. This was the fifth promotional event of its kind held in the Republic of Korea.
The Agency's marketing partner, Wine21.com, is the Republic of Korea's largest online wine portal. Established by wine industry experts, the platform provides consumers with comprehensive information on wines available in the Korean market.
