Georgian Wine Masterclass Held at Prestigious Ferrandi Gastronomy School in Paris

With the support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia to the French Republic, a Georgian wine masterclass was held at Ferrandi Paris, one of France’s most prestigious higher education institutions specializing in gastronomy and culinary arts.

The masterclass was led by Ana Godabrelidze, Chair of the National Wine Agency’s Tasting Commission, and Christophe Lavelle, wine and gastronomy expert.

Five Georgian wines were presented during the event, each paired with specially designed culinary courses prepared by Ferrandi professor and internationally recognized chef-instructor, Stephan Jakic.

The event was attended by Tamta Kvelaidze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency.

This marked the third Georgian wine showcase held in France during the same week. Previous presentation and tasting events took place at the prestigious Ritz Paris and the Michelin-starred restaurant Episode, further strengthening the visibility of Georgian wine among French wine and gastronomy professionals.

Increasing international awareness of Georgian wine and promoting it in key export markets remains one of the National Wine Agency’s strategic priorities. Since 2013, the Agency has actively implemented marketing and promotional campaigns across international markets, including France, a country renowned for its wine culture and expertise.
