Barakoni Winery Company to Develop Wine Tourism

Wine tourism-oriented company Barakoni Winery plans to develop this direction further.

Based on the village of Bostana, Ambrolauri District, the company owns vineyards on 3 hectares and primarily grows Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grape varieties.

As noted by Barakoni Company director Kakhaber Gordeziani, the company produces Khvanchkara, Aleksandrouli, Tsulukidze Tetra, Usakhelauri, and Tvishi wines.

The wine cellar is oriented on wine tourism. The company hosted first tourists in 2019 and the company plans to strengthen the domestic tourism industry.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and government officials visited the winemaking company and introduced a new state program “The State – Your Partner” to local farmers.
