Tourism Revenues in Georgia Projected to Increase by $200 Million in 2024, According to Galt&Taggart

Galt&Taggart's latest analysis indicates a significant rise in tourism revenues for Georgia in 2024. As of July, the revenue from tourism surged by 23.5% year-over-year, totaling $600 million for the month.

From January to July 2024, the total tourism revenue reached approximately $2.5 billion, marking a 9.1% increase from the previous year, as per Galt&Taggart’s projections.

For the full year of 2024, Galt&Taggart forecasts that tourism revenues will ascend to $4.3 billion, up from $4.1 billion in 2023.

In the second quarter of 2024 alone, Georgia amassed $1.091 billion from tourism, an 8% increase over the same period last year and a 24% rise compared to the pre-pandemic figures of 2019.

To recall, in the first quarter of 2024, Georgia generated $807.7 million from international tourism, with the largest contribution of $171.2 million coming from Russian tourists.
