The startup OFOODO, which is the winner of the GITA co-financing project, talks about future plans. The project aims to turn all food outlets and restaurants in Georgia into one space, which will be accessible to both local and international visitors.
According to Beka Khatiashvili, Founder of OFOODO, the application will allow customers to get complete information about all restaurants and their activities in one place, browse the menu online, book a table with or without a pre-selected menu, order the desired dish with delivery or pick -up and so on.
"OFOODO also includes an electronic QR menu, which allows local or international visitors to the restaurant to scan the QR code to browse the menu in their preferred language and make a choice of dishes. At the same time place an order from the table and pay the bill electronically.
One component of the project electronic menu has already been launched and we are cooperating with more than 150 objects. The web platform will be launched in the near future and users will be able to use other services as well.
We have been operating in the food sector for a long time in the technological direction and based on the international experience we have some visions of how this field will develop in Georgia and also in the Caucasus region. We are already in talks and plan to export our products to Armenia and Azerbaijan next year. We are also thinking of entering other countries in the future. The won grant will be spent mainly on creating a mobile application and marketing, ”Beka Khatiashvili explained to Business Partner.
According to him, participation in the GITA co-financing project provided an interesting experience that will be useful in the proper implementation of the project.
