Founder of Kraveli: I Love Experiments, I Strive to Combine Modern Elements with Vintage Feel

Kraveli products are mainly for everyday use, it is a freestyle and can be used for both everyday and formal meetings. The brand’s motto is "Wear Kraveli, Wear Creativity’’. Tamar Bliadze, founder of Kraveli, tells CBW about her creative journey:

‘’Design gradually entered my life. I've been drawing since I was a child, and then I decided to enroll in an art school, where I finished with a degree in leather design from the Faculty of Fashion Design. The academy allowed me to start thinking about design and I noticed nuances that others could have missed. Design for me is the right balance of different tastes.

I learned the fundamentals of working with leather at art school. Then I worked in several companies as a shoe designer, designer and performer of leather accessories, where I developed both technically and design-wise, I learned to visualize the product with all the details in mind and then in practice as a finished form.’’

Kraveli creates high quality natural leather products. Each detail is processed and sewn by hand on the principle of 2 needles, as well as the leather surface is hand-painted and processed with a special varnish.

‘’My inspiration comes from a variety of sources; I am a big fan of experiments, and I strive to combine modern elements with a vintage feel, which is portrayed in nuances and basic forms. I am often inspired by the work process when new ideas come directly during creation and it allows me to express my inner world,’’-said Tamar. 

Tamar plans to open a store in the future and to enter a foreign market. In case of expansion she is going to open a line of shoes and clothes with accessories. She wants the public to get acquainted with Kraveli and get the opportunity to make the most of the sketch-created works.
