Sokhumi Drama Theatre Opens its Season with Premiere- Troy, the Lost Paradise
Konstantine Gamsakhurdia Sokhumi State Drama Theatre opens 135th Season with Premiere - Troy, the lost Paradise. The premiere will be held on December 11, 13.
The project was implemented under the auspices of Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi with the support of TIKA. Director and author of the text is Turkish invited director - Gamze Tanrivermis.
The performance is documentary and is based on the true story of Abkhazian war-torn women, accompanied by post-war photos of Abkhazia.
Women have lost everything with the war: husbands, children, home. Now they face the grim reality of slavery and exile. What will their fate be like? Will they ever return to their homeland?
Regardless of the gloomy city and crushed dreams, the women on stage keep the love of life and most importantly, hope the hope of getting back…
