Festival Verdi to Take Place in Georgia

Within the framework of Check In Georgia, Verdi Festival will take place in Tbilisi Opera House on 23 August.

This initiative, which is a cultural collaboration of Italy and Georgia, is supported by the Italian senate and Government. On August 16th, ball-masquarade will be premiered in Tbilisi Opera House, which is the set of Teatro Regio di Parma. On 23 August, Black See arena will host "aida" from Arena di Verona. On 25th August, Opera singers will hold a concert.

The partner of the festival is Mediaset S.p.A, which broadcasts in 15 countries. Mediaset will broadcast not only the festival but also Georgian cultural heritage, historical monuments, intangible property, to present unique tourist potential of the country.

The project aims to build a regional center of Georgian culture, which will strengthen the development of cultural tourism in the country.
