DataFest to Hold its Special Edition Online
DataFest Tbilisi is held annually in November since 2017. Perhaps, due to the pandemic, organizers decided to hold the event online on May 22-24.
DataFest Online is aiming to bring together the data community from Eastern Europe and Central Asia, to inspire and encourage, to create meaningful connections.
This is a special digital edition of the three-day festival with around 300 participants. Our attendees are data scientists, journalists, CSO activists, marketing specialists, business professionals, government officials, developers, and information designers.
The format of the digital festival is as follows:
- Day 1: Inspirational talks by the world's some of the most experienced data and communication experts;
- Day 2: Workshops and training sessions held by industry leaders;
- Day 3: Thematic datathons on solving data collection, analysis, and communication challenges.

As organizers say, they are hosting speakers and coaches from organizations such as New York Times, Washington Post, Oxford University, Miami University, etc.
