5th Hospitality and Tourism Conference to be Held Online Supported by Bank of Georgia

The 5th conference on Hospitality and Tourism held online co-organized by the Bank of Georgia.

Due to the current situation worldwide, the central theme of the conference was devoted to the influence of COVID-19 on this industry. The pandemic also led to a change of the format, and the conference which hosted more than 400 guests in the past, was held online this year.

The conference included two panels, on which private and public sectors presented presentations on various topics related to the influence of coronavirus on this industry. Representatives of Tbilisi City Hall, Adjarian Tourism Department, Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia, Bank of Georgia, BDO, Alliance Group, and United Airports of Georgia were participating in the conference.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and Georgian National Tourism Administration addressed the guests. Online conference was finished with B2B meetings, where participants were allowed to establish significant contacts.

"Welcome to Georgia!" is the tourism and hospitality award ceremony, which is held in Georgia since 2015. The project aims to promote Georgian tourism and hospitality, bring awareness to the companies and brands working in this field. Bank of Georgia has been a co-organizer of the event for several years and actively supports the industry.
