Tbilisi Airport Expands and Upgrades Aerodrome Infrastructure with ₾6.5 Million Investment
Tbilisi International Airport has undergone significant infrastructure improvements, with TAV Georgia investing ₾6.5 million in new aircraft stands and the rehabilitation of existing ones.
According to TAV Georgia, the project included the construction of a new stand for wide-body aircraft with ICAO “F” and “E” codes, covering an 18,000 m² area. Additionally, 12,500 m² of space designated for medium-sized (narrow-body) aircraft with ICAO “C” code was rehabilitated. The helicopter stand, located on 3,500 m², also underwent renovation.
The investment aims to enhance operational efficiency and increase capacity at Tbilisi International Airport, ensuring smoother aircraft servicing and improved infrastructure for growing passenger and cargo traffic.
