Nino Tandilashvili: Meetings with Farmers in the Regions Revealed Numerous Issues That Were Later Reflected in Specific Programs and Support Mechanisms

First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili spoke about the importance of meeting farmers in the regions and the necessity of considering their views when shaping state programs.

According to the First Deputy Minister, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and representatives of relevant agencies hold regular meetings with farmers in order to hear their needs directly on site and improve state programs as much as possible.

“Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili regularly holds meetings with farmers in the regions — with those who already benefit from state programs, whether through ‘Plant the Future,’ subsidized agro-credit, or others; as well as with those who wish to participate in existing programs.

We listen to farmers’ needs on the ground and introduce the necessary changes into our programs to ensure they align with their demands as closely as possible. In recent months, many such changes have been implemented across various programs. Our main task is to fully understand the needs of farmers.

These meetings have revealed numerous issues that were subsequently reflected in specific programs and support mechanisms,” said Nino Tandilashvili.
