National Food Agency Provides Free Vaccination of Animals Against Six Diseases

The National Food Agency has launched free vaccination campaigns for livestock across Georgia. The program covers six diseases: anthrax, rabies, brucellosis, lumpy skin disease, contagious agalactia, and sheep pox.

According to the Agency, these preventive veterinary measures are carried out annually and play an essential role in protecting both animal and public health. Vaccinations help to avoid the spread of dangerous diseases, ensure the stability of livestock farming, and support the country’s food safety system.

The Agency notes that livestock vaccination is free for farmers and is implemented by its regional veterinary services throughout all municipalities of Georgia.
