Natia Turnava: 85% of Families will Be Switched to Natural Gas Supply System
We have been implementing a large-scale gasification program, including in the villages, which will receive natural gas for the first time, Minister of Economy Natia Turnava told PalitraNews TV company.

“Our gasification program enables the population to set up new small business companies, develop agribusiness, open guesthouses and ensure family welfare in the country”, Minister of Economy Natia Turnava said.
According to the 3-year government plan for gasification, in 2019-2021, the majority of families in Georgia (85%) will receive natural gas. This is the government’s ambitious plan that will be definitely fulfilled in the legal timeframes with due quality. Schedules and quality are under strict control”, Natia Turnava said.
The project will reduce cutting trees and improve ecological situation, the Minister noted.
“Several weeks ago I personally visited Tsalenjikha and Chkhorotsku, where for the first time natural gas supply network was delivered. Local residents were very happy. We continue this process under schedule”, the Minister of Economy noted.
Gasification works will be launched in 6 villages of Dusheti district, 2 villages of Lanchkhuti municipality, Zestaponi, Kharagauli, Marneuli, Tkibuli, Terjola, Vani and so on, Natia Turnava noted.
