Ministry of Environment and Agriculture Celebrates Independence Day with Festive Events in Telavi

As part of the celebration of Georgia’s Independence Day, the Rural Development Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture is hosting citizens in the central square of Telavi.

Minister of Environment and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili visited the event space to inspect the installations and meet with attendees.

"May 26 is a special day for our nation. I congratulate every citizen of our country. Maintaining freedom and independence requires constant vigilance—every minute, every second. One of the essential components of independence and national development is economic strength. Today, our ministry is represented in Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, and Kutaisi.

In Telavi, the Rural Development Agency is hosting citizens in the central square. Guests have the opportunity to explore products made by program beneficiaries, see firsthand the support we offer, and learn about the opportunities available through the Ministry’s programs,” said Davit Songulashvili.

The Minister was accompanied by Chairman of the Agrarian Issues Committee Gela Samkharauli, Chairman of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules David Matikashvili, Director of the Rural Development Agency Giorgi Darchia, State Representative in the Kakheti Region Giorgi Aladashvili, Mayor of Telavi Municipality Levan Andriashvili, and Metropolitan of Alaverdi, Rev. David.

At 17:10, the historical moment of Georgia’s declaration of independence will be commemorated. The event will conclude with a festive gala concert.
