Lasha Abashidze Appointed CEO of Georgian Railways, Replacing Davit Peradze

Lasha Abashidze has been appointed as the new head of Georgian Railways, succeeding Davit Peradze, who had led the company since December 2017.

Abashidze brings extensive public sector experience to the role. He previously served as Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi under Davit Narmania and headed the Presidential Administration during the tenure of former President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The leadership change marks a significant transition at one of Georgia’s key state-owned infrastructure enterprises, which plays a central role in regional transport and logistics.
