Georgian PM: We Intend to Reduce Inflation to 5% in 2023
"A significant increase in foreign direct investments was recorded in 2022 as well, the volume of which doubled compared to the previous year and in principle increased by more than 100%," - said Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili at the World Government Summit - "Exiting Georgia's potential to a new arena - the path to economic prosperity" .
According to him, the decisive actions of the government helped to create more than 200,000 jobs in Georgia in the last two years.
"We have achieved success in stabilizing inflation at 9.4%, and as a target, we are going to reduce inflation to 5 percent in 2023. Many large-scale energy, infrastructure and logistics projects are underway or planned to further stimulate our economy and bring more prosperity to our people," Gharibashvili said.
