Georgia Proposes Raising Property Tax Threshold from ₾40,000 to ₾100,000
A bill to amend Georgia’s Tax Code has been registered at a meeting of Parliament’s Bureau. It proposes replacing the current ₾40,000 threshold for property tax with a ₾100,000 threshold.
Parliament plans to consider the bill under an expedited procedure, with the Finance and Budget Committee serving as the lead committee.
Speaking at the Bureau meeting, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said the bill could receive two readings on the same day.
