Georgia and UAE Discuss Enhanced Agricultural and Environmental Cooperation
Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songulashvili, met with Ahmed Alnuaimi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia, to discuss deepening bilateral trade and economic relations.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed potential avenues for investment and cooperation, particularly in the agriculture and environment sectors. Minister Songulashvili emphasized the significance of the partnership between the two countries and highlighted the promising export potential of Georgian agri-food products to the UAE market.
The discussion also focused on strategic areas such as food security, sustainable water resource management, climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and the promotion of renewable energy.
Ambassador Alnuaimi noted that the strong partnership between Georgia and the UAE provides a solid foundation for implementing impactful joint initiatives in both agriculture and environmental protection.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, was also attended by Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze and heads of relevant departments.
