Finance Minister: Education Sector to Spend 1.9 billion GEL in 2020
About 1.9 billion GEL will be spent in the education sector in 2020, Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani noted at the parliament’s budget hearings.
Out of the mentioned amount, 285 million GEL will be spent on improving infrastructure.
According to the 2020 final budget bill, construction expenses for vocational education facilities grows by 5 million GEL, sport infrastructure expenses rises by 5 million GEL, various donor and grant projects will be funded by 10.2 million additional injections, 5 million GEL will be added to various educational programs.
