European Commission Publishes Analytical Report on Georgia's Readiness for EU Membership

The European Commission recently published an analytical report on the readiness of Georgia to become a member of the European Union. This report was also published for Ukraine and Moldova and was based on a questionnaire that the Georgian administration submitted to Brussels the previous summer.

Ambassador Pawel Herczynski of the European Union to Georgia responded to this report by congratulating the Georgian government on the positive assessment it received. The report evaluated Georgia's preparedness in 33 different areas and although some areas were noted as requiring further progress, Herczynski stated that the overall assessment was very positive.

As the European Union, Herczynski emphasized that they are ready to help and assist the Georgian administration in making any necessary improvements. He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Georgian government in improving their readiness for EU membership. The report serves as a useful tool for Georgia to assess its progress and identify areas that need further attention in order to increase its chances of becoming a member of the EU.
