Education Sector has the Lowest Salary in Georgia
Based on the data provided by the National Statistics Service, it can be observed that there are significant differences in the salaries of employees across different sectors in Georgia.
Specifically, in the third quarter of 2022, the education sector had the lowest average salary among employees, which was 920 GEL. On the other hand, the information and communication sector was the highest-paid field, with an average nominal salary of 3,330 GEL.
The construction sector, as well as the finance and insurance sector, were also among the top three highly paid activities during the same period. The average salary in the construction sector was 2,304 GEL, while in the finance and insurance sector, it was 2,229 GEL.
It is noteworthy that the average salary of hired employees in Georgia has increased by 16.5% in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the previous year. The average salary of hired employees during this period was 1,595 GEL, which is 226.5 GEL more than the previous year.
