Deputy Minister Solomon Pavliashvili participates in the 25th Circular Economy Conference in Lisbon

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili, took part in the 25th conference on circular economy issues held in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The participants of the conference discussed innovative technology related to rubber-modified asphalt.

In his speech, Solomon Pavliashvili spoke in detail about the legislative and institutional changes implemented in Georgia in the field of circular economy, which are directly connected to the obligations the country has undertaken within the process of European integration.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of applying modern technological solutions in infrastructure projects that are based on the principles of the circular economy. As he noted, in order to introduce new approaches and achieve effective results, close cooperation between the public and private sectors is essential.

The conference in Lisbon was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, Batu Gurjide, representatives of the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Ministry of Infrastructure, as well as organizations from Georgia that hold extended producer responsibility and are engaged in tire recycling.
