Deputy Economy Minister on GEL Rate: No Grounds for Alarm
Deputy Economy Minister Nikoloz Alavidze noted that the current macroeconomic parameters give no grounds for alarm.
‘I cannot act as a seer. I do not cast doubts on professionalism of the Government and NBG. Both subjective and external macroeconomic factors have made influence. Real macroeconomic parameters prove that there is no ground for alarm”, Nikoloz Alavidze told BM.ge.
“GEL is the so-called teenager which is regulated by the market. Naturally, various factors affect it.
There were heavy political statements, developments in neighbouring countries. All these factors affect GEL exchange rate.
We have valuable macroeconomic parameters. Our tax balance is improved every day”, Nikoloz Alavidze said.
