Davit Songulashvili: “We Continue to Defend Our Independence Through Development and Economic Strengthening”

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili congratulates the population on Independence Day:

“May 26 is the most important day for each of us! I congratulate all citizens of our country on this day.

107 years ago, on May 26, the Georgian people declared to the world that Georgia is an independent country.

We fought—and continue to fight—to gain and defend our independence. This struggle means protecting our national interests, ensuring development, and strengthening the economy.

Georgia is a small country with a great culture and ancient traditions. We are the homeland of wine, with an 8,000-year continuous history of viticulture and winemaking.

We have made tangible progress on our path of development, and that progress continues.

Georgia deserves a worthy place in the community of civilized nations.”
