Davit Songulashvili met with the French Ambassador
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Georgia, Olivier Curtaux.
At the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral relations and opportunities for cooperation. The Minister spoke about the importance of reforms carried out in the fields of environment protection and agriculture.
According to Minister Songulashvili, “It will be important to share France’s experience in effective management of water resources and disaster risks.” The discussion also covered food safety, introduction of modern technologies in the agricultural sector, knowledge-sharing among experts, boosting exports, irrigation, and strengthening laboratory capacities. The Minister also drew attention to the topic of introducing regulations on the use of single-use plastics in contact with food.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze.
