Davit Songulashvili Meets with Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Government Delegation Members
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Davit Songulashvili, met with the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, along with members of the Armenian government delegation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed future opportunities for cooperation in the field of agriculture, including prospects for deepening trade and economic relations between the two countries.
As stated by the Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the recent visits to Georgia by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Vahagn Khachaturyan underscore the high level of political relations between the two countries, creating opportunities for multifaceted cooperation.
The discussion covered cooperation and exchange of experience in areas such as food safety, as well as sectoral collaboration, including viticulture and winemaking, and scientific-research initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Zurab Ezughbaia, Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, representative of the Embassy of Armenia in Georgia Davit Ter Mkrtchyan, and head of the International Relations Department of the Georgian Ministry Davit Chitaishvili.
It is noteworthy that the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, and members of the government delegation are on an official visit to Georgia. As part of the visit, ministers within the delegation are holding meetings with their counterpart ministries.
