Cowgill: Anaklia as Major PPP Project should Be Implemented jointly with Government

Michael Cowgill, new head of the supervisory board of Anaklia Development Consortium noted before meeting between business associations and the Prime Minister that today Anaklia deepwater seaport is the major PPP project and it should be implemented jointly with the Government.

“Last week the Consortium released a lot of statements regarding Anaklia. Our supervisory board backs these statements made by our CEO Levan Akhvlediani. Anaklia deepwater project is PPP project, that is the pubic and private partnership project. Georgia has not implemented so large-scale PPP project so far. I will reiterate that this project should be implemented jointly with the Government and this is of crucial importance”, Cowgill noted.
