Recreational Alphabet Square Arranged in Didi Dighomi
In Didi Digomi, in the vicinity of the hypermarket "Goodwill", the mayor of Tbilisi opened the so-called "Alphabet Square".
As Kakha Kaladze said during the Facebook live, there was construction in the area of the square and the locals demanded its dismantling and arranging a recreational space on the site.
"Several multi-storey buildings were to be built here. The private person had bought the area where the square was supposed to be and in fact, construction had begun. We promised the locals that we would relocate and return the square to the renovated, rehabilitated one. You can see how good the project is. We have promised the population that no constructions will be carried out at the expense of sports fields, squares and recreational spaces. This is very principled. Another recreational space has been added to Didi Digomi, ”said Kakha Kaladze.
The area where various infrastructural works were carried out covers an area of 3800 square meters. In addition to the restoration of the alphabet, a LED lighting network, footpaths and benches were arranged, as well as landscaping works were carried out.
The project was implemented by the company "Greenservice +" by the order of Saburtalo district administration, for which 314 887 GEL was spent from the budget.
