Minister of Health: Aggressive Testing of the Population will Start by the End of The Week

By the end of the week we will have the opportunity to start aggressive testing of the population, - the Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze stated on the Public Broadcaster.

She said the country is following the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and will receive rapid tests by the end of the week.

"We are in constant coordination with both the World Health Organization and the NCDC and are going through these recommendations and consultations and have been advised to aggressively test the population. Accordingly, negotiations have already begun with countries with experience. Today, this country is China, that we take additional tests that will aggressively test our population.

As we suggest, since only the transportation issue needs to be regulated, by the end of the week we will have the opportunity to start aggressive testing of the population, but nevertheless the most important component is breaking the chain that restricts and eliminates transmission, which will be the most effective preventive measure. Therefore, I ask the population to take into consideration all the recommendations given by the Ministry of Health, ”Ekaterine Tikaradze said.
