Rati Kiria Becomes the First Georgian Global Finalist in the British Council Study UK Alumni Awards

Georgian entrepreneur and financial education advocate Rati Kiria has become the first Georgian to be named a global finalist in the Business and Innovation Award category of the British Council Study UK Alumni Awards 2026.

The prestigious international awards received applications from 120 countries, with only 28 global finalists selected across four award categories. Kiria is among just seven global finalists in the Business and Innovation Award category, representing both Georgia and the Wider Europe region on the global stage.

The British Council's Study UK Alumni Awards celebrate the achievements of international graduates of UK universities who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in their professional fields while contributing to their communities and countries.

According to Kiria, the recognition reflects years of work focused on combining financial education with technological innovation. His initiatives include founding Traders' Hub, establishing Georgia's first Student-Managed Investment Fund, and developing financial education platforms, practical investment systems, and AI-powered solutions designed to make investing more accessible.

"Our mission has always been to bridge education, technology, and financial markets by equipping young people and aspiring investors with practical knowledge, modern tools, and access to global financial opportunities," Kiria said.

A graduate of the University of Stirling in the United Kingdom, Kiria described becoming a global finalist as a significant personal milestone and an opportunity to represent Georgia internationally.

"This recognition is not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of the dedication of our entire team, our students, partners, and community. It motivates us to continue building an innovative financial ecosystem in Georgia and beyond," he noted.
